Cardinals expectations and goals
Catchers and Pitchers report
Off season I give them a C-
They need someone to come off the bench and they get Ty Wigginton. He won't help them at all. They didn't solve there pinch hitting issues or hitting with RISP.
They need left hand pitching. JP Howell out there. And they get Randy Choate 37 years old. It doesn't fix the problem. It puts a band aid on it. But what is done is done.
What I would like to see this year
Adam Wainwright resign at a reasonable deal
Leader of the pitching staff he is needed
Find Oscar Tavares At Bats
Rosenthal and Miller take steps forward and are ready to be in rotation by 2014
Get rid of Garcia
Get rid of Westbrook
Find a SS of the future

Cardinals fixing the problem before game 7
OK Cardinals have lost 2 games in a row and watch a 3 games to 1 lead go to 3-3.
How to fix the Cardinals? Easy in 5 steps.
1. Stop shooting yourself in the foot
Don't make errors, make the routine play, don't walk batters. Once the Cardinals calmed down the Giants scored 1 run after the 2nd inning. And when the Giants make a mistake you capitalize on them.
2. Work the count
Stop 1st pitch swinging, make Matt Cain throw you pitches and when he makes a mistake you capitalize
3. Get to the bullpen with a lead
Bullpen has been lights out from Rosenthal to Motte. Get to the bullpen with a lead.
4. Step Up
Where is Allen Craig, David Freese, Jon Jay?
5. Add offense
We can't win with Kozma and Descalso take one out and put in M Carp at 2nd if he is not in lineup replacing Holliday.
I am a homer and going with the Cardinals. Matt Cain has struggled vs the Cardinals and Kyle Lohse has been dominate in the playoffs.

Baseball Predictions Revisited. Playoff Preview.
AL East
1. Yankees
2. Red Sox
3. Rays
4. Blue Jays
5. Orioles
I said Yankees win division and I was right. I said Red Sox get 2nd (my bad) and Orioles in 5th (stupid pre season magazine that gave me bad info)
AL Central
1. Tigers
2. Royals
3. Indians
4. White Sox
5. Twins
(Said Tigers win division and was right, but didn't get order right)
AL West
1. Angels
2. Rangers
3. Mariners
4. Athletics
(I bought into the Angels hype. And got bad info on A's from Pre Season Magazine) Got Rangers finishing in second right.
So I went 3/5 in the playoffs picks with a 60% rate. Not bad.

Yankees over Rangers in 4
A's over Tigers in 5
AL Championship
Yankees over A's in 6
NL
NL East
1. Phillies
Most talented team in NL, but carious about their injuries with health of Utley and Howard. My gut says they take a step back and hit major injury bug (Reds 2011), but my head says they win NL East
2. Braves
3. Nationals
4. Marlins
5. New York Mets
Friend cough cough Henry Jordan talked me into the hype of the Phillies. Should of gone with my gut and the Nationals.
NL Central
1. Cardinals
Deep team, will win NL if stay healthy
2. Reds
3. Pirates
4. Brewers
5. Astros
6. Cubs
I bought into the Cardinals hype. I am an homer.
NL West
1. Giants
2. DBacks
3. Rockies
4. Dodgers
5. Padres
Got the Giants right and in my defense didn't think the Dodgers would make a trade.
So 4 out of 5 playoffs teams (80%) in the NL so in total I'm 7 out of 10 (70%) in playoff teams.
NL Playoffs
Braves beat Reds
Cardinals beat Braves
Giants beat Phillies
Giants beat Cardinals
Revised NL Predictions
NL Wild Card
Braves over Cardinals
NL Division Series
Nationals over Braves in 4
Giants over Reds in 5
NLCS
Giants over Nationals in 6
World Series
I picked the Giants to win it all. I'm gonna stick with my pick. Giants defeat the Yankees in 7 and its a party by the bay.
Giants beat Angels in 6
Predictions for MLB Year
